Happy Birthday, Grandma and Amy

Grandma's birthday is September 19 and Amy's is September 25, so we decided to celebrate them together. They blew out the candles together and Amy agreed with Grandma that Grandma still does have a lot of hot air!
I made a cake that said Happy Birthday Cougarette Amy and Cougarette Grandma. Grandma thought it was awesome. We all know that's where Amy got her dancing skills. :)

We went to eat at Texas Road House with Lisa and Tyrel, Russ and Reggie, and Grandma and Grandpa. Amy got to sit on the saddle and
be embarrassed while they told her happy birthday. Lots of fun!

Happy Graduation

Okay, so we feel old. Amy graduated from Bingham High School and we are officially empty-nesters. Ick. It was fun to see Amy and David together in their "gowns."

Russ and Regina came to enjoy the fun of a 2 1/2 hour long graduation ceremony.

Congrats, Amy! Welcome to the real world. Bummer.

The Nose Job

Amy's Poor Nose

Nate felt guilty enough that he came with us to the hospital. He stayed until they took her to surgery.

Tired, but with a straight nose.

Russ and Regina gave her a donut the size of her head. Awesome!

The next day--Senior Dinner Dance. She's beautiful! She had a blast!

Happy Spring!

Russ and Regina got married March 21st. The whole family was here and it was so much fun. We had family pictures taken. This was our best one.

Amy finished her time as a Minerette at Bingham. It was three hard-working years, but she had a great time. She tried out for Cougarettes last week and made it. She is REALLY excited. Congratulations, Amy!

Nate Schiess, the Bingham boy from Rigby, Idaho, took Amy to prom. She took him to Girls' Pref last night. They went to Classic Skating for the after activity. Nate came up from behind her and scared her. She went out of control and went down, catching her fall with her nose. Needless to say, it's broken. She should have surgery sometime next week. Hmmmm... the Cougarette that has a face like a football player. Sweet!

It's Almost Christmas!

Wow. Have I ever been delinquent. We have been soooooo busy all fall. This school year has been overwhelming with Minerettes. Senior parents take over a lot of the duties of the coaches, and we never realized how much the those parents did until we became senior parents. One of the moms is making all of our costumes and so all of us have to help in the rhinestoning process. I have glued on so many rhinestones this year that my fingers sparkle.

The girls have competed in two competitions so far this season and they have taken first in both. They look awesome. This is a picture of last week's competition at Jordan. Santa was there to hand out the awards. It doesn't look like Hailee trusts him much. I bet she won't be getting much under her tree.:)

Have a very Merry Christmas!

Happy Birthday Bingham!

Bingham High School turned 100 years old on September 9, 2008 and the whole school had a huge birthday party. The Minerettes were asked to do a late 1960's routine complete with marching, formations, and slow ripples. It was so easy compared to what they usually do, and Amy thought it was quite hilarious. Everyone really enjoyed it.

Gotta love the ending pose!
